CMSgt James P. Seballes, USSF
Senior Enlisted Leader
CMSgt James P. Seballes currently serves as the Senior Enlisted Leader, Space Training and Readiness Command, temporarily located at Peterson Space Force Base, Colo. STARCOM was established as a Field Command Aug. 23, 2021. The command is responsible for preparing, developing and delivering more than 6,000 Guardians to enable the United States Space Force to prevail in competition and conflict through innovative education, training, doctrine, and test activities.
Chief Seballes grew up in Austin, Texas and, after completing Air Force Basic Military Training in June 1994, he attended the Apprentice Electronic Signals Intelligence course at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas. His career includes more than 300 hours as an enlisted cryptologic flyer on- board EC-130H’s, as well as providing tailored support to F-16CJs and holds the distinction of being the first Air Force graduate of the National Security Agency’s Military Operational Signals AnalystProgram (MOSAP). He has served in service and joint positions within Air Force Space Command, Air Combat Command, Air Education and Training Command, and the National Security Agency at the unit, Group, and MAJCOM level, and including MAJCOM Functional Manager, Group Superintendent, Squadron Superintendent, Senior Enlisted Leader for Education and Training, Detachment Superintendent, Collection Manager, Unit Training Manager,National Cryptologic School (NCS) Adjunct Faculty Instructor, and Additional-Duty First Sergeant. He has also participated in deployments in direct support of Operations DENY FLIGHT, JOINT ENDEVOUR, and ENDURING FREEDOM with assignments at bases in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Texas, and overseas in Italy, Japan, South Korea, Kuwait, and Australia.
Prior to his current assignment he served as Chief Enlisted Manager, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Directorate at Headquarters United States Space Force, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.
