Patricia “Trish” Nicoli
Lead Systems Engineer for Digital Engineering

Patricia “Trish” Nicoli has worked for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida since 2001. She currently serves as the Lead Systems Engineer for Digital Engineering. In this role, she has been leading the Model-Based Leadership Team which focuses on the people, processes, and technology and their coordination to achieve Digital Engineering. She is Technical Tools and Processes Branch Chief within the Engineering Directorate at KSC. In this role she is responsible for a multi-discipline team that support multiple NASA Programs. These disciplines include Engineering Policies, Planning, Processes, and Assessments; Knowledge Capture and Discovery; Product Lifecycle Management; CAD; Digital Engineering; Model Based Systems Engineering; Configuration Management; Human Systems Integration; and Reliability, Maintainability, Availability and Risk. These aspects are also all involved in Digital Engineering.
Prior to the current assignment, Trish served in the various roles within the Program Management Offices of Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) and International Space Station (ISS). She was responsible for applying a systematic, disciplined systems engineering approach to the development, testing, operations, and maintenance of major development efforts.
Trish completed her MS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida, and her BS in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Space Studies from the University of North Dakota.
